From Alhama, take the A-348 to the A-7. Aguadulce is 25 min, Almerimar 35 min. For Cabo de Gata, follow the AL-12 eastward.
June to September for swimming. Avoid 1pm-5pm in July/August. September afternoons are ideal: warm water, fewer crowds.
SPF 50+ sunscreen is essential. Plenty of water, shoes for rocky coves, and a snorkel mask for Cabo de Gata.
The chiringuitos (beach bars) in Almerimar and Aguadulce are excellent. For Cabo de Gata's wild coves, bring your own food.
